Built in-house, end to end

An artificial intelligence company working in industrial and mission-critical environments, with models owned at code, architecture and lifecycle level.

Independent by design

What Arkania is

Arkania is an artificial intelligence company working in industrial and mission-critical environments. It designs, develops, trains and operates its own AI systems: computer vision and video analytics applied to operations that are already running and cannot pause to accommodate a pilot.

The work is deployed on infrastructure clients already have: the cameras, sensors, drones, robots and control systems installed across a site, integrated through SCADA, OPC UA, MQTT and M2M rather than replaced.

The claim, read as an engineering position

The claim is two statements, and both are engineering positions rather than slogans. Industrial grade means engineered for the constraints of physical operating environments: intermittent connectivity, latency as a correctness constraint, installed infrastructure that will not be replaced, and continuity as the whole proposition rather than an SLA line.

Independent means the models are Arkania's own: designed, developed, trained and operated in-house, owned at code, architecture and lifecycle level, with no dependency on third-party models or black-box inference for a deployed system to keep running. In much of this market that property is what decides whether a system can be considered at all.

Where the work happens

Eight operating environments: oil and gas, industry, defence, energy, production, pharmaceutical, security and large-scale logistics. They differ in what they permit and in which conditions matter, and they share the property that makes them difficult: the operation does not stop, and a system that only works in a demonstration does not work.

The clients named on this site are published with authorisation. They are concentrated in oil and gas, construction, transport, defence, private and public security, video control and logistics.

What Arkania builds

01Operational environments first
The work starts from how a site actually runs, which cameras exist, where they point, what an operator is expected to do with a finding, rather than from a generic model looking for a home.
02Designed around what exists
Built to sit alongside the cameras, sensors and control infrastructure already in place, integrated through SCADA, OPC UA, MQTT and M2M rather than replacing any of it.
03Continuity as a requirement
Environments that cannot stop set the conditions for everything delivered. Deployment follows the constraint, on-premise, at the edge, or in private cloud, rather than a product roadmap.
04Engineering-led, and independent
Models designed, developed, trained and operated in-house, owned at code, architecture and lifecycle level. Decisions are made against operating conditions, not against demonstrations.

How the work is approached

The engagement starts from the environment rather than from the software: which cameras, drones and robots exist, where they point, what an operator is expected to do with a finding, and which constraint, connectivity, regulation or sovereignty, decides where inference runs.

What a given installation delivers is established during that work rather than promised before it. This is the reason there are no performance figures anywhere on this site: a detection rate without the site, the estate and the configuration it was measured under is a number that means nothing, and quoting one would be the easiest way to lose the argument that the rest of this work is trying to win.

What is not stated here

Arkania does not publish employee numbers, founding dates, office locations, revenue, certifications or awards on this site. Not because none exist, but because each is a factual assertion that belongs in a document with a source behind it rather than on a page where it would simply be believed.

The same rule governs clients and partnerships. Parties under NDA negotiation are not clients and are not named, and no relationship appears here that has not been authorised for publication.
