How Arkania handles personal data collected through this website.
This is the text currently in force for this website. It is reviewed as the site changes.
Who is responsible
Arkania is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact details for data protection enquiries are provided through the contact page.
What is collected
Only what a form is given. The enquiry form collects a name, company, corporate email, optional phone number, country, industry, area of interest, project type and scope, and the message itself. The newsletter form collects an email address and a consent record.
No account is created, no profile is built, and no personal data is collected passively while browsing.
Why it is processed
An enquiry is processed in order to respond to it. A newsletter subscription is processed in order to send the newsletter that was asked for, and for nothing else.
The lawful basis is consent for the newsletter, and the steps taken at the request of a prospective client, or Arkania's legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry, for the contact form.
How a submission is handled
An enquiry is stored in Arkania's own database before anything else happens to it. That is deliberate: it means a failure to send the notification email costs a notification, not the enquiry itself.
A notification is then sent to Arkania by email. If that send fails, or if no email provider is configured on this deployment, the form says so and offers a direct address — it does not show a confirmation that nothing stands behind.
A newsletter subscription is stored as a request to subscribe, with the time consent was given. Nothing is sent to that address until a confirmation step exists, and no address is passed to a mailing platform before then.
Who else sees it
No personal data is sold or shared for advertising. When delivery is connected, the email and hosting providers acting as processors will be named in this policy before any data reaches them.
How long it is kept
An enquiry is kept for as long as it takes to respond and for the period required by the commercial relationship that may follow. A newsletter subscription is kept until it is withdrawn.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. Requests are made through the contact page.
You also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.
Analytics
This website runs no analytics, no advertising tags and no third-party trackers. If that changes, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated before the change is deployed.
